Again I love all of the Whitsundays and this is a special part of it.

How do you describe to someone the finest, whitest, purest sand that feels like powder through your toes? How do you conjure up an image of the most exquisite bay, coated in flawless water and umpteen shades of pale blue?
Whitehaven Beach is known all over the world for its unwavering beauty. Float dreamily over seven kilometres of silica sand beach, swim with the fish, lie in the diamond-studded sunshine and watch the boats bob cheerfully at anchor. A seamless blue sky stretches above you and you are totally seduced by the beach’s beauty.
Whitehaven can be experienced in several ways. Ferries and luxury cruising yachts depart from Airlie Beach daily. A variety of sailing companies also offer multi-day charters that include a memorable visit to Whitehaven Beach in addition to stops to the outer Great Barrier Reef. Seaplanes and helicopters also visit the area offering stunning views from the sky.
Getting there:
Tours to Whitehaven Beach can be taken from Airlie Beach or several of the Whitsunday islands. Airlie Beach is located 1115km north of Brisbane and accessed by air, rail and road.

Beautiful white sand, beautiful blue water, beautiful place to visit and it includes a boat trip around the Whitsundays as well.

Travel to Whitehaven on the 'Scamper' from Shute Harbor. Take your camping gear and a kayak to have a truly wonderful holiday exploring this beautiful area. Stay a few days so that you can have the beach to yourself at sunset and sunrise. A perfect holiday.

The highlight of our Whitsundays week, the ocean rafting was fun and the kids enjoyed that compared to the launch boat to the other reef.

Congratulations to the writer of the description of Whitehaven Beach. They say a picture paints a thousand words, and it does. But your words certainly painted an inviting picture. No need for a "So where the bleep bleep are ya?" commercial. I'm coming! That's me at the door.
