We try to get out to Whitehaven beach whenever possible - its a great day out and its right on our doorstep. Thats the whole reason we moved to this wonderous place, the warmth, the water and prestine islands.

Its the most beautiful beach we have ever seen, and we have seen quite a few from Torquay Vic to Loyalty beach Cape York.

Best. Beach. Ever. Seriously though, the first time you see it, pure white sand going on for miles, crystal clear water in brilliant shades of blue, it's something that you'll remember for life. The best way to see it is from the deck of your very own bareboat charter yacht - sail up, drop anchor and swim over to the beach. And of course, if you see it this way it can be at a time that the many people from Hamilton and Airlie aren't there. You can nearly have a whole section of the beach to yourself if you like :) Hill Inlet at the north end of Whitehaven beach is a magical sight on a sunny day too, especially from the lookout above.

Definitely one of the best beaches I have ever visited. The fine silicon sand is the whitest and finest I have ever experienced. Coupled with clear blue water, this is a heavenly place for enjoying the tropical ocean of the Whitsundays.
