We hired a sailboat and anchored in the bay of whitehaven beach. Four of us went on to the beach in our little dinghy. One couple went left and the other right along the beach. We could not see each other and spent half the day relaxing on the most glorious, beautiful and soft sand, then cooling off in the clearest, bluest water known to man. What a romantic and isolated island - it was literally like being on a deserted island. If you have the opportunity, go!

My partner and I flew hear from Hamilton and landed halfway up the beach and we instantly felt like we had found our own private beach. It is so large that we only bumped into a few other couples. The water was the clearest I'd ever seen and there were turtles swimming in the shallows. The sand was a perfect white and as we walked down the beach we saw little fish swimming through the ripples of water that seamed to reflex the most perfect sun. The water is lovely to swim in as it is warmed by the sun and is clear enough to see the fish and turtles under the water. We only stayed for 1.5hrs but I would definitely go back.

Gorgeous beach. Take a sail boat over for the day - great fun day out in the sun.
