Float dreamily over seven kilometres of silica sand beach, swim with the fish, lie in the diamond-studded sunshine and watch the boats bob cheerfully at anchor. Whitehaven can be experienced in several ways. Ferries and luxury cruising yachts depart from Airlie Beach daily. A variety of sailing companies also offer multi-day charters that include a memorable visit to Whitehaven Beach in addition to stops to the outer Great Barrier Reef. Seaplanes and helicopters also visit the area offering stunning views from the sky.

The BEST beach in the world !!!!!!! The water is so amazing it will take your breath away. The visibility is brilliant and the colours are fascinating. I also love how white the sand is and how it always feels cold (regardless of what time of year it is). The sand also cleans jewellery (rings etc.) so you don't have to pay money to get them cleaned !! LOVE IT !!!

A remarkable, breathtaking and pristine environment where one can take stock of what it is to live in a country as beautiful as ours and how important it is to protect our environment.

This is at the top of our list as we were an unlucky couple on our honeymoon to miss out on the flight to Whitehaven due to bad weather. Other peoples experiences and seeing the incredible photos of this magnificant location makes this our sure no.1... (someday)

They don't say it's one of the BEST In THE WORLD for nothing. You really MUST Do. The sand truely is so soft & white & the sea spectacularly blue. It really does look like all the photo's you see.

Fabulous, just amazing sinking into the pure white sand. Even a minor sea plane emergency on the way home didnt diminish the experience!

There is nothing more amazing than waking up to the view of Whitehaven Beach. Doing a self chartered trip around the Whitsunday Islands was the greatest experience and a true adventure. The purest of sand and tranquility. A must do!!!
