Visit the home of Bundy Rum, the Bundaberg Rum Bondstore

Get there by train Get there by road Accommodation

Who would have thought a group of sugar millers with a vision to produce rum using molasses (a by-product of sugar refining), would create a product so popular it is still going strong over a hundred years later?

A trip to Bundaberg is not complete without visiting the famous Bundaberg Distilling Company and joining a one-hour distillery tour. See, smell and taste your way through the rum production process, then finish at the official “Bundy Bar” for complimentary tastings.

Pick up some official Bundy Rum merchandise at the visitor centre, adjacent to the distillery, or wander through the museum sifting through old photographs, original bottle labels and historical records.

Even if you’re not a lover of rum, the Bundy Bear will entertain you with charisma and classic advertising.

Getting there:

Bundaberg Distilling Company, Whittred St, East Bundaberg.

Bundaberg is four hours drive north of Brisbane or accessed by Tilt Train.

Enjoyed the Bundaberg region during Christmas holidays and especially Bagarra (camping in a cabin). Visited the rum factory - the children liked the experience!

Hmmm Bundy Rum - There is no where else in the world that can make rum like they can. Distilled and made right in sunny Queensland who would not want to visit where this iconic rum is made. The tour is fantastic and the taste testing is sensation. There is no where else than at the Distillery that you can try and purchase the Bundy Rum Liquior. Try it and you will agree there is no other place in the world you would want to be!!
