Tour the Bloomfield Falls with an expert

Get there by train Get there by road Accommodation

Venture into one of the most pristine locations in the tropics with the warm and friendly Walker Family Tours, a group of women from a close-knit family from Wujal Wujal, a coastal indigenous community, four hours drive north of Cairns.

The Walker women will travel you over their ancestral land and share with you their Yalanji culture. See the beautiful Bloomfield Falls that tumble 40metres through the world heritage listed Daintree forest all the while learning and sharing in the history, bush tucker and bush medicine of the region.

Alternatively,  join a 4WD adventure such as Tony’s Tropical Tours to immerse yourself more extensively in this Wet Tropics Wilderness, taking in not just the Bloomfield Falls and Daintree Rainforest but also Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation. Traverse creek and river crossings, tackle steep inclines and explore this remote and scenic environment on a small group tour that is designed to showcase the enormity and beauty of the forest.

Getting there:

Wujal Wujal is 380km north of Cairns.
