“Ensuring no grape dies in vain…that’s our job, from vine to table. Our grape vines are like thorough-bred horses. Excellent pedigree, winning form and great breeding stock. With climates similar to south-west France and the north of Spain, the ‘stables’ aren’t bad either.”
Sirromet Wines on Mount Cotton Road, 30minutes south of Brisbane, seem sure-footed about their product and experience. And looking at their awards, medals and trophies, they have every right to be.
Get closer to the barrels and learn a thing or two on a wine tour then take a seat beneath crisp white table cloths at their award winning restaurant, “Lurleens”. Not only do Queenslanders think it is one of the best restaurants in the state, Lurleens has had gold star reviews on websites in France, Germany, Italy and across the UK.
Of course you can also take the more relaxed approach - just order a glass of Sirromet wine and a cheese platter, then park yourself outside, in front of the view.
Getting there:
850-938 Mount Cotton Road, Mt Cotton (30mins south of Brisbane) or visit Translink.

I have had many great days out at Sirromet Winery. It's just such a awesome place to go at weekends for a wine tasting and to take in the view. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. If you have visitors it's an easy option for something to do and only a short easy drive from the Gold Coast or Brisbane.

About 10 years ago we first sampled the hospitality of Sirromet Wines in Stanthorpe since then they have opened Sirromet Wines Venue and Function Centre at Mt Cotton. To date we haven't beeen able to visit but it is on our 'TO DO' list. We have only heard wonderful reviews and that would be expected.
