Perfect your swing at a Gold Coast golf course

Get there by train Get there by road Accommodation

Some of the world’s finest golf course architects and players such as Nicklaus, Palmer, Thomson and Greg "The Shark" Norman have all put their signature on the Gold Coast fairways, so you can be sure of some championship performances and ideal spectator experiences.

Here on the Gold Coast there are more than 40 championship and resort golf courses to choose from within a 30minute drive from Surfers Paradise, so there is no excuse not to improve your swing.

Get some tips from the local Pro’s and conquer that deep faced bunker to emerge and take in the view. You will probably find yourself on the most stunning greens with kangaroos lazing under shady trees. You might have to play a hole through a rainforest or navigate 98 bunkers in one game.

Whether you’re meandering along waterways with ornate bridges or following the curves of a picturesque lake, the Gold Coast’s unique collection of world-class courses will ensure you will want to return for another round.

What a great way to spend a day with your mates. I've done it a few times and although I'm still officially a hacker, I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful courses.

My son plays Junior Golf and enjoys the variety of golf courses available. Jack just loves the game and facilities offered.

This is always a good day out. Doesn't really matter if you can't hit the ball straight (mine tend to ricochet from tree to tree all the way up the course!). You have time to talk to your partner and solve life's big (and small) problems. And you get some fresh air and exercise. And then there's the clubhouse bar at the end, like a mirage, to struggle towards and wind down at! Magic!

Played at a number of courses on the Gold Coast and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Also stayed at and played at Royal Pines several times. Total package - golf, accommodation, food and service is excellent.
