At the end of August each year the Amamoor Creek State Forest and Park near Gympie transforms into a mini city for the Toyota National Country Music Muster. Held over six magical days and unforgettable nights among the towering gumtrees, a program overflowing with the country’s finest musicians, just seems to get bigger and better every year.

Maintaining its traditional strong country focus the festival also includes musical genres such as folk, blues, gospel, bluegrass, bush poetry and balladeers.

On a stroll through forest paths between venues, you will see amazing street theatre, roving bands and markets galore. Add to this wine tastings and wacky campsite competitions and you’ll understand why the Toyota Muster is one of Queensland’s most spectacular events.

Getting there:

Amamoor Creek State Forest Park is 40kms southwest of Gympie, 2hrs drive north of Brisbane.

By train:

Catch the Sunlander, Tilt Train or Spirit of the Outback to Gympie. To book your rail adventure call Traveltrain Holidays on 1800 627 655.

I was hooked into the Muster Fever way back in "93' My daughter lives in Brissy and invited me to come and see Trisha Yearwood at the Muster. Well, I've travelled from N.Z. to attend the best darned C.M. festival almost every year since then. Roll on August. Len Noyce

If you want to experience the true spirit of living in the Queensland Bush with music loving driza-abone/akubra clad Aussies and bush tents erected under tall gum trees, this yearly music event is not to be missed. True blue.
