What a fantastic ride along the esplanade, great views and beaches if it gets to hot, and hardly any hills.

Hervey Bay enjoys a prime beachfront location and perfect climate to match, so it makes sense to breath in the salty sea air and explore the area from the seat of your bike.
An 18km walk and cycling path winds around the waterfront from Urangan to Point Vernon, linking many recreational facilities such as Burrum National Park, Arkarra Lagoons, the Botanic Gardens, and many parks and playgrounds.
Pack a picnic or stop at one of the many village restaurants in an area that has grown together today to become affectionately known as ‘the Bay’.
Wander along the pier with pelicans at Urangan, hire a jet ski or catamaran at Torquay, fish and snorkel at Scarness or just jump back on your bike and continue your adventure around the scenic seafront.
Getting there:
Hervey Bay is located 290km north of Brisbane and accessed by road, rail and air.
By train:
Catch The Sunlander or Tilt Train to Maryborough West. Catch a connecting coach from Maryborough West station to Hervey Bay, approximaetely 50 minutes away. To book your rail adventure call Traveltrain Holidays on 1800 627 655.

I just love Hervey Bay and all the things it has to offer - I love to take the family there as we just did for the Australia Day weekend.

Great way to see everything, and easy to cool off with a swim afterwards

My sister and I had a wonderful holiday at Hervey Bay and the highlight was riding bikes along the foreshore with plenty of breaks in delightful cafes, lots of window shopping and vegging out on grassy slopes overlooking the bay. It was truely a very relaxing day.
