On the last weekend in July every year the main street of Childers comes alive with throngs of people flocking to enjoy the carnival atmosphere created at the Childers Multicultural Festival.
Join in and experience the extensive variety of food stalls on offer - guaranteed you won’t be able to resist the gastronomic delights from nations such as Italy, Asia, Lebanon, Greece, and Australia of course, just to name a few.
Non-stop live music beats from six different stage areas, myriad of artists perform in the streets and over 200 quality craft stores are drawn to the festivities. The excitement for children is also non-stop with clowns, acrobats, jumping castles and giant slides.
So don’t miss Childers on the last weekend in July – there’s a multicultural party going on.
Getting there:
Situated 325kms north of Brisbane, Childers is easily accessed by bus and car.
By train:

Since it's beginning, the Childers Festival of Cultures has been a welcome addition to this beautiful town. The variety of culture and food this festival offers lets us all take a trip overseas without leaving home!

what a fabulous spot spent a night in the old haunted hotel and ate one of the best pie I have ever had great town

Believe it or not Childers has the best food between Sydney and Airlie Beach.
