It is the festival program & sense of community when you camp for the week that makes this festival

By far the best way to immerse yourself in all the Woodford Folk Festival has to offer is to pitch your tent among thousands of others, creating virtually a tent city in the middle of a beautiful forest setting.
The Woodford Folk Festival is a spectacular meeting of art forms, cultural symbols, ritual, ceremony and drama collaboratively created by a huge array of artists from all different walks of life.
Held annually in December/January over six days and nights, the festival presents more than 2000 performers, 400 events and attracts over 80,000 people with concerts, dances, workshops, street theatre, writers’ panels, film festival, an entire children’s festival and late night cabarets – just to name a few!
This is one of Australia’s largest and most colourful community arts events and something that will appeal to all age groups and artistic talents.

I had the time of my life at Maleny Folk Festival (as it was called when I was a student) with my mates, doing workshops, hanging out in the Chai Tent, meeting new people from all walks of life. I think it's now time to take the kids there and experience Woodford Festival from a completely new angle!
