Grab your broadest hat and a bucket of sunscreen and head down to the beautiful banks of “Sandy Hook”, a freshwater, non-tidal waterway of the Burnett River, for a weekend of thrilling water sport action.
“The Wide Bay Australia Bundy Thunder” roars its engines annually in November, incorporating exhilarating power boat racing, water displays, parties, street parade and boat displays, in Queensland’s biggest powerboat meet.
So if you’re into adrenalin, don’t miss this spectacular weekend of fast paced action.
Getting there:
Sandy Hook is located at the end of Branyan Drive, approximately 8kms west of Bundaberg city. Bundaberg can be easily accessed by Tilt Train

Brilliant boat race meeting. As a participant, we have never been to a race meeting that was so well organised. It was well worth the drive from Victoria. Congratulations

I saw the power boat racing at Redcliffe which has given me a taste to see more of it.
