Relax at a resort on the Great Barrier Reef

Get there by train Get there by road Accommodation

Each island offers endless days of sunshine, warm tropical waters, sandy shores and a memorable escape, so how will you choose a holiday resort on the Great Barrier Reef?

Nestled within the Whitsunday’s chain of 74 islands, 10 special resorts offer the ultimate holiday escapes. With the Great Barrier Reef at your doorstep, all you have to do is choose your focus and there will be a special island waiting for you. Do you seek seclusion, pure luxury, tranquillity and style? Or are you wanting family friendly activities, diving and Eco lodgings?

Swing in a hammock, lie back in the spa, sip champagne at sunset, dance on the jetty and dine under the stars. Snorkel, swim, sail or play golf. Would you like shopping with that or just rainforest walks? Listen to the gentle lapping of your blue lagoon.

Whatever you want from an island indulgence you’ll find it here, under swaying palm trees, wrapped up beautifully by the gentle waters of your blue lagoon.

Getting there:

Airlie Beach, 1115km north of Brisbane is the main access point to the Whitsunday Islands. Island transfers will be advised at the time of resort booking.

I love, love, love The Whitsundays! Everyone there is so easy-going, and the Whitsunday Terraces Resort is my absolute favourite place...I've been going there 10 years now, and will continue. It's just the best place on Earth!!

The best stress free holiday you can have; no phones, no cars, the best scenery, the food is great and so much to do as well, swim, snorkle, sail, shows, massage, golf etc and just relax all your stress away.
